Garayar Group optimizes its document management in the cloud

Grupo Garayar is formed by the law firm Garayar, the financial advisory firm Quetho Finance and the operational management solutions company Gestión de Activos Turísticos. These companies work together to ensure that operations are financially, legally and operationally efficient. The group has more than 30 senior professionals specialized in the financial, real estate, tourism and energy sectors. 

Grupo Garayar needed to improve the activity of each of the companies that make it up. To do so, it was necessary to improve the entire document management system. The main problems were: 

  • Access to information from outside the office.
  • Access to external user information.
  • Compatibility problems with Office.

Nor was it possible to work simultaneously with the same document in different companies because they were not hosted in the cloud or integrated with Outlook. In addition, there were space limitations per user.

To solve all these problems, Grupo Garayar relied on the experience of Goom Spain. An implementation project was designed to install the document management solution Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365. The project was launched in just one month and began with several practical workshops where the management needs were 100% focused. The implementation was a success since, after the start-up, there have been practically no incidents and all users use Office 365 and document management in a secure, organized and coordinated way.

The implementation of these solutions allowed Grupo Garayar to easily create and manage 'sites' focused on teams and groups to facilitate collaboration. In addition, it was possible to implement an intranet portal to disseminate information and news throughout the organization. Grupo Garayar now has a secure place to store, organize and share information from virtually any device.

On the other hand, all user accounts were migrated to the Office 365 Enterprise Premium subscription, providing productivity for the cloud client. Including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online, Office Web Apps and Office Professional Plus solutions.
