What's new in Microsoft 365 - Autumn 2021

The latest additions to Microsoft 365 continue to shape the modern workspace for hybrid reality, in addition to easing the user experience through a number of enhancements.

Encouraging more inclusive meetings

The ability to enable live captioning during meetings in Microsoft Teams is enabled and transcripts in more languages are launched. With this new functionality, meetings broadcast in the available languages are supported with live captioning. In addition, Teams now supports 27 languages, including German, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi and Japanese. These features provide flexibility and greater interaction capabilities for meeting members.

Yammer is also integrated with Viva Tema in order to make a company's community information more fluid. This way, information is present in several areas of the platform. More information about Yammer's theme API can be found here .

More real-time collaboration

Co-auditing and auto-save features are extended to include Microsoft 365 desktop applications. In this way, multiple people can co-audit Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents, while maintaining document protections and confidentiality labels. It is an improvement over existing online co-auditing features.

In addition, custom colors are added to the Visio for Web color palette. So far only a standard set of colors and the option of transparency in the diagram could be chosen, which now becomes more attractive and with more display options.

Productivity from day one

Finally, it should be noted that the upgrade to Windows 11 has been encouraged by analyzing the degree of pre-approval of devices with connection points.

In addition, Microsoft Endpoint Manager will support connection ports out of the box with new versions of Apple's operating system to maintain security in the enterprise.
