270 million users are the impressive figures for the use of Microsoft Teams. Undoubtedly, Microsoft's collaborative platform has established itself as a fundamental tool in the day-to-day work of thousands of companies around the world. In addition to its features to facilitate communication in the development of remote and hybrid work, Teams allows other applications to be installed in its environment to improve different functional aspects. It currently has more than 1,400 applications and an increasing number of developers and independent developers are designing apps for this environment.
Today we're going to talk about some of the applications highlighted at Microsoft Build that enrich the collaborative experience in Teams for users.
Live Share
Essentially it allows meeting participants to view, edit and create together. Developers can use new preview versions of the Teams SDK to create these meeting experiences.
Real-time editing brings the experience of remote meetings closer to face-to-face meetings and encourages team participation and collaboration.
Fluid Framework and Azure Fluid Relay
This is a collection of open source client-side JavaScript libraries that build on the real-time collaboration potential of Live Share. In other words, developers use both tools to enable the interactivity discussed in the previous point during Teams meetings. All the news on this is available on Microsoft's developer blog, which you can access here .
Create Loop components
Loop components are actionable productivity units that sync between Microsoft 365 apps such as Teams and Outlook. Developers can now create these components via customisable cards.
Microsofty Azure Communication Services sample app builder
Another way to drive the collaborative experience in Teams is to encourage interoperability with Microsoft Azure Communication Services. This is to enable direct connection between clients on any custom web or app and workers operating in Teams. This generator allows developers to create without code an example for virtual appointments.
